Konya is located in Turkey 260 km south of Ankara in the Anatolian Highlands. The history of the city can be traced back to the 3rd millenium B.C. According to a legend Konya was the first city resurrecting after the Flood. Seichukk princes ordered the first rugs which created the starting point of Anatolian art of carpet making.
