Aydin
Aydin is located in West Anatolia. In the 14th century Aydin was an independent principality under the Beyliks. Carpet making schools have been founded in Aydin very early on in order to establish Aydin as a significant carpet making region. Aydin had become famous particularly for its nicely made Cicims which were considered in the country as the "prayer rug of the modest man" and in Europe they served as decorative wall rugs.
