Kash Gul
Kash Guli rugs were and are made by the nomadic tribe of the Kash Guli and therefore are nomadic rugs. The Kash Gulis are an adjoining tribe of the Ghashgais who are settled at the Zagros Mountains in the Persian province of Fars. The special characteristics are a relatively thick knot and often shiny gold-red compositions. Allover Botteh designs are also to be found. The wool is highly resistant. Altogether a rather rare South Persian nomadic rug of high durability and own particular nature.
