Lesghi
The Lesghians are an East Caucasian people with many tribes with five groups of different languages. They are Sunni Moslems since the 8th century. Lesghi rugs are generally distinguished by 2-5 dominant Cross Medallions. The Lesghi design was and is also made by the Derbents, also in the Kazak and Kuba area whereby they show the particular features of those regions. Altogether a highly evaluated rare Caucasian rug.
