Saveh
Saveh is located in West Persia and is the main city of the district of the same name (in the triangle of the cities Ghazwin, Hamadan and Arak). Saveh rugs are mainly influenced by Hamadan designs but are significantly finer and the wool is of first class quality and shinier. The typical design of Saveh carpets is only found there: the Fruit Bowl design. On copper colored ground there is a vertical row of a stylized motif of a bowl filled with various colorful fruits. The rugs are knotted with the Turkish knot.
